Do it 110%, or don't do it at all.

Why are you an actor?

Have to be.

What are you most known for?

Other than my dry wit and cooking? Professionally, people ask me the most about Into the Woods, which holds many beautiful memories for me, so I’m happy to be “known” for it.

What do you want to be known for?

I want to live a generous, thoughtful, respectful and therefore respected, life. I want to take risks! And I want to put all of that into my career. That, and I’d like to play a character on House of Cards that meets a terrible end. Either one.

What are you currently working on or towards?

👆 see above.

Who’ve been some of the mentors/teachers instrumental to your success?

I’ve been blessed with a handful of instrumental teachers. I use that word “blessed” in all sincerity, because to influence another human, teach, and shape their lives in even a small way, is an amazing thing.

Presently, I’m very grateful for the ones that told me to trust in myself, who allowed me to be who I was, and who celebrated my uniqueness.

If you could offer advice to your younger self (and/or young aspiring actors), what would it be?

Do it 110%, or don't do it at all. It's been said so many times, but if there is ANYTHING else you can see yourself doing, do that. That's not a reflection on your talent or even your passion, but if there is literally anything else you see yourself doing, chances are you'll give this really hard thing up, and why waste time not being who you want to be?

What do you love about the digital age we live in?

GoogleMaps. I mean, accessibility to anything and everything is great, panda videos are GREAT, but mainly GoogleMaps. I have zero sense of direction, so DEF dat map app.

What do you hate about the digital age we live in?

Our dependency on it. We need to look up from our phones more… even when it’s a really funny panda video.

Why did you choose to “get creative” with us?

I'd been referred to CSM by three previous clients, who just happen to be some of my best friends. So needless to say, I was skeptical. Ha! No, I trust them whole heartedly, and once I saw their finished sites, I was immediately drawn to CSM's clean and sharp design aesthetic.

However, I was nervous to commit financially, especially when I didn't feel I had a ton of content to build a full site around. Then when I spoke with Tony and the team, we spoke of building onto the site as content started building up. I’m so happy that the initial design and feel (that I was so drawn too) is now my OWN site... but I also LOVE that there's still room to grow!

How would you describe the process/experience?

Easy as pie! And as enjoyable. Whether you're working remotely or in person with Tony, he treats you and your site with the same generosity and attention to detail, that without fail results in just what you wanted, even if you didn't know you wanted it!

What responses or results have you received?

ENVY. But really. Besides envy, I've heard on repeat how "striking" and "sexy" it is! I wanted something that would make people take the time to look, and also would elicit confidence in my abilities without actually having to have seen me in a show or an audition. The site does that because of how sleek and professional it is!

Favorite Musical: Into The Woods

Favorite Place in NYC: ONE of my favorite spots is the Rose Main Reading Room at the NYPL. But since it’s under construction currently, head over to Maman in Nolita. Reading at their window seat with a chocolate chip cookie, it’s good for the soul!

Is there any last bit of advice you’d like to share?

Smile. Don’t get too big for your britches. Eat lot’s of vegetables. Also eat lots of cake. Work with Tony Howell. Tell your friends and family you love them. Drink as many bottles of rosé as possible before the summer’s over. Breathe, it will be okay.
