Jessica Hendy

Everything is being done online. Why not, be a part of that movement?

It was an honor to create Jessica Hendy's new website. As you'll soon see, she is a #STAR!

Take the time to check out her advice to artists, videos and online channels. You will not be disappointed.

For those that don’t know you, tell us a little bit about Jessica Hendy!

Well, I just moved back to NYC 18 months ago with my little boy, Beckett. After living in my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for 8 years... it feels a little bit like I'm starting over in the city! However, we both love New York and are so happy to be back!!!

What are you currently working on?

Currently, I am in the cast of Radio City's New York Spring Spectacular! This experience has been amazing—a lot of hard work with a fantastic creative team and a über talented cast!

Radio City Music Hall debut ✔️ Dream come true ✔️ So grateful for this moment ✔️ #hendynation

Why did you choose CSM to build your website?

Anytime I perform I want to give the audience that "WOW" factor. It was 100% worth it to me to work with the team at CSM, because they always deliver just that very thing! I could try to build my own website, but I'm a not tech savvy person. I would never get it to a place where I would be satisfied. I wanted my site to be a place where someone who didn't know me could see my work and be like "HOLY SH!T- hire her NOW!!!"

I really liked how CSM got to know me as a person. They made me focus on my goals (short and long term) so they could build an effective website, customized just for me.

What responses have you received from your new website?

Immediately, people emailed me (from my new website) telling me how much they loved it! I also had a SERIOUS amount of “likes” on Facebook and Instagram when we announced it. While I was building it with CSM, I had a few friends inquire about what I was working on—they saw the results. They have since hired CSM to build their sites as well!

What's your advice to aspiring artists?

I am including myself in this. It’s easy to give advice, and not as easy to take it. So many times I need to remember to take my OWN advice!

I think the biggest thing is to MAKE IT HAPPEN and never give up! Once you realize why you were put on this planet, it's impossible to be happy doing anything else. There is no a shred of doubt anywhere in my being why I was put on this planet. We only get one life. We might as well GO FOR IT!

Also, this business is hard—but a good attitude goes a long way! If you come to it sour and jaded, you will never succeed. The business will trample you and spit you away. (That sounds dramatic, but I've seen it happen.) On my worst days, I have my "moment" - but I let it go! The only thing that is going to serve me achieving my dreams is a good attitude and forward motion. Living in regret and anger is a recipe for a person to get stuck.

Comparing yourself to your peers is always a set up for disaster. (I hope I'm listening to myself here!) Everyone’s path is different! I don’t want someone else’s path. I want mine. Everything you have done in your life has led you to this moment, right now! Isn't that an incredible thing? I wouldn’t be here right now writing this, if I hadn't experienced every moment in my life up until one second ago (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Knowing and remembering that helps keep things in perspective.

What’s your advice to artists about their online presence?

To be honest, I was on the fence about ever having a website! I thought having a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter was all I needed. After some research and my initial meeting with CSM, I realized that my website was my online calling card. It's for the business of JESSICA HENDY, if you will. The social tri-fecta is just that—social. It's still business, but it's more personal and fun!

I also think that having an online presence is very important in show business. Not everyone in this business agrees. My feeling is that more and more, everything is being done online. Why not, be a part of that movement? I've actually made several connections and gotten work from Facebook! With my website, I now feel that I can steer anyone there. It is a one-stop shop for anything a potential employer or fan would need to see. They can see me as an Artist—or potential hire for their next big thing ;) I have learned a lot from CSM about being an artist online. They know what the pulse is. I believe they are right at the front (if not ahead of the game) where this is concerned. I am so happy that I went with this because now I have an amazing, one stop, landing spot that is only going to bring me good things!!!
